CGPA honors Newly-Promoted Generals

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General, Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay honored the Newly-Promoted Philippine Army General Officers at the Headquarters of the Philippine Army, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City today, March 13, 2020.

In a reception hosted by the Philippine Army, Gapay congratulated the newly-promoted generals Lt. Gen. Roberto Ancan, Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr., Maj. Gen. Ernesto Torres Jr., Maj. Gen. Eric Vinoya, Maj. Gen. Generoso Ponio, Maj. Gen. Rowen Tolentino, Maj. Gen. Edgardo De Leon, Brig. Gen. Gabriel Viray III, Brig. Gen. Rommel Tello, Brig. Gen. Norwyn Romeo Tolentino, Brig. Gen. Wilbur Mamawag, and Brig. Gen. Anthony Cacayuran. Gapay also recognized the general officers’ aptitude, competence, and leadership.

Through the influence of the honorees, Gapay expressed that this will lead the Army in fulfilling its thrusts of achieving operational and organizational excellence, closely working with the Army’s partners and stakeholders, pursuing the Army modernization program, and uplifting the well-being of the personnel.

“Do remember that those stars are parts of the flag signifying your obligation to our people and our country. Such are tools also to propagate the Army’s brand of honor, patriotism, and duty,” said Gapay. “Maximize this opportunity to serve our people and country,” Gapay added. #
