Young Cannoneers Promoted and Awarded with Bronze Cross Medals

 

Five Enlisted Personnel with the ranks of Privates were promoted to the next higher rank of Private First Class namely Kayce M Abuan, Ronelo A Zarsuelo, Jonirick M Sultan, Jess Mar S Diasnes and Regio Nhel R Allado. The donning of their ranks was facilitated by LTCOL Edgar Rosete Delos Reyes, the Assistant Chief of Staff of Personnel, G1 of the 6th Infantry Division (6ID), Philippine Army.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of the Bronze Cross Medals among the promoted young Cannoneers, PFCs Abuan and Sultan, who have distinguished themselves for acts of heroism and risked their lives in the actual Fire Support Mission in support to the Law Enforcement Operations (LEO) of the 6ID last May 2017 in the areas of Salvu, Pagatin, Mamasapano and Shariff Aguak, all of Maguindanao.
In his message, LTC Delos Reyes said, “The over-all success of the 6ID’s LEO was because of 6FAB’s significant contribution as our supporting unit and this is a manifestation of your fervent commitment to transform into a well-responsive artillery unit which is founded on good governance and most especially, performance excellence”.
LTCOL Francis Anthony M Coronel, Commander of 6FAB, likewise recognized his Officers and Senior NCOs for closely supervising their subordinates, “The accomplishments of our young blood cannoneers today was the result of your constant mentoring and coaching to them. May all of you continue to support each other and become better versions of yourselves each day.”
A total of six Officers and 43 other Enlisted Personnel from 6FAB were already awarded with Bronze Cross Medals by 6ID.
