The Headquarters & Headquarters Battalion was activated on 25 June 2017 as the Marawi crisis was already a full blown conflict and the Regiment was preparing for possible deployment. The unit then was still under the process of  absorbing the personnel and logistics from PRC and HHC. Personnel from the former CMOBn (NCR) which is currently now the 11th CMOBn who were deployed in Mindanao then were automatically incorporated to HHBn to beef up the force.

LTCOL MELGEVAL B HILAO INF (GSC) PA, was born on the 5^th of Jan 1972 in Tanay, Rizal, is a product of AFPOCS ’97.

LT COL HILAO has been serving the military for 23 years.  After graduating from AFPOCS, he immediately saw action in Visayas as a platoon leader.
