Major Jeffrex G. Molina has been in the active military service for more than 18 years. As an infantry officer, he has been assigned to different areas in the country and held various positions both in combat and administration. He served as platoon leader, company commander, and battalion staff in 63rd Infantry Battalion. In operational level, he anchored numerous news and commentary programs in various radio stations in Eastern Visayas when we still with the 8ID CMO staff office, 8th Division Public Affairs Office, and 8th CMO Battalion, respectively. In the strategic level, he headed the Public Affairs Branch of the Philippine Army’s Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations where he authored various Public Affairs-related policies, directives, and standing operating procedures for the Philippine Army. He was also the Director of the Research and Production Center of the then Civil-Military Operations Group who conceptualized and developed various significant mission-essential equipment for the Philippine Army’s Civil-Military Operations that were operationally tested in Marawi Campaign. During the liberation of Marawi, he was the commander of the Public Affairs Task Unit of the Joint Task Group Tabang under the operational control of the Joint Task Force Marawi that discharged essential information needed by the affected communities. He was also the Head of the Research and Doctrine Development Department at the Philippine Army’s Civil-Military Operations School, Civil-Military Operations Regiment and eventually became the commandant. He authored two Philippine Army Social Media Handbooks, series 2014 and 2015, and co-authored the Philippine Army’s Youth Leadership Summit Handbook in 2012 as well as the Civil-Military Operations Field Guide in 2014. He is also the Lead Author of the book, “Hitting the Enemy Hard the Soft Way”, dedicated to the members of the Joint Task Group Tabang, Joint Task Force Marawi. He is a Psychological Operations qualified and a graduate of Public Affairs Course for Intenational Students at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, USA in 2013. He took Post Baccalauereate in Teacher Education and received his Master’s Degree in Communication in 2001 and 2018, respectively; and currently taking up his Doctorate Degree in Educational Management, all at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila.
