2 Militias surrender, 60 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters withdraw support in Quezon

CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - Two Milisyang Bayan members yielded to the government while 60 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters from the municipalities of Tagkawayan, San Narciso, Mulanay, and Alabat have withdrawn their support in Lopez, Quezon on Thursday, January 19, 2023.


The Tagkawayan Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict headed by Hon. Mayor Luis Oscar Eleazar, with assistance from the 85th Infantry Battalion, Quezon PNP, and Tagkawayan PNP, facilitated the surrender of two Milisyang Bayan members as well as the withdrawal of support of 22 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters from the said barangays of Mapulot, Mansilay, and Landing.


Meanwhile, the San Narciso Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict headed by Hon. Mayor Florabelle Uy Yap, with assistance from the 85th Infantry Battalion and Quezon PNP, and San Narciso PNP, facilitated the withdrawal of support of 2 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters from barangay Villa Reyes.


Subsequently, the Mulanay Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict headed by Hon. Mayor Aristotle Aguirre, with assistance from the 85IB, Quezon PNP, and Mulanay PNP, facilitated the withdrawal of support of 27 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters from the barangays of Ilayang Cambuga, Pakling, Ibabang Cambuga, and Ilayang Yuni.


Subsequently, the Alabat Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict headed by Hon. Mayor Jose Ramil Arquiza, with assistance from the 85IB, Quezon PNP, and Alabat PNP, facilitated the withdrawal of support of 9 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters from the barangays of Villa Norte, Villa Victoria, Bacong, Pambilan Sur, Villa Jesus Este, Caglate, and Poblacion 5.


The said personalities voluntarily signed their sworn statement at Barangay San Rafael in Lopez condemning the CPP-NPA-NDF and have expressed their willingness to support the government.
