Two more NPA terrorists arrested in Mindoro

CAMP CAPINPIN, Tanay, Rizal — In a law enforcement operation jointly conducted by the Army's 76th Infantry Battalion (76IB), 2nd Oriental Mindoro Provincial Mobile Force Company, Oriental Mindoro PPO, and Bongabong Municipal Police Station, two members of the terrorist NPA, as identified by former rebels who were their former comrades in the CPP-NPA-NDF, were arrested last Saturday.

Reports reaching this headquarters disclosed that the two revealed NPA terrorists, who were identified as Jay Maligo Fran alias Rio/ Roco and Kelvin Joaquin alias Lauro/ Rigor, were arrested by virtue of the Warrant of Arrest for Rebellion or Insurrection issued by Oriental Mindoro RTC Branch 42 in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.

They were revealed by their former comrades to be remnants of Ignacio Calabria Magadia (ICM) and Main Regional Guerilla Unit (MRGU), Sub Regional Military Area (SRMA) 4D, Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee (STRPC).

The arresting officers seized in their possession a Cal .45 pistol, an improvised explosive device, personal equipment, electronic gadgets, and subversive documents.
Following the arrest of Villarico, Panganiban, and David just a few days apart, the arrest of their two other comrades as revealed by former CTG members will ultimately contribute to the group's declining morale.

With this, the 2nd Infantry Division encourages the remaining CPP-NPA-NDF members to surrender to the government and avail themselves of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) for their future and their family's well-being.
