23 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters withdraw support in Batangas

CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - A total of 23 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters have withdrawn their support and pledged allegiance to the government in a ceremony in Malvar, Batangas on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

The said ceremony, which was jointly facilitated by the 59th Infantry “Protector” Battalion and the Malvar PNP at the Senior Citizen Office of Barangay San Gregorio, saw the formal withdrawal of support of 23 personalities, including 8 senior citizens, who are members of Kababaihang Sama-sama na Magtutulungan (KASAMA), an organization linked to the Urban Committee of the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee’s Sub-Regional Military Area 4C.

 

“We are grateful for the growing trust and confidence of our kababayans to our efforts to finally achieve genuine peace and development in Batangas. Together with our security sector partners and valued stakeholders, we remain committed to helping our communities be insurgency-resilient,” said 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong in a statement.
