CAMP CAPINPIN, Tanay, Rizal – The 2nd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army deployed today three vaccination teams and security forces in Tanay and Cardona of the province of Rizal.

Last November 24, 2021, no less than President Rodrigo Roa Duterte signed Presidential Proclamation Number 1253 declaring November 29 to December 1, 2021, as "Bayanihan Bakunahan National COVID-19 Vaccination Days". The said proclamation aims to cultivate the Bayanihan spirit of the Filipinos in a bid to forge unity in the entire nation to expedite and intensify the government's vaccination program to address threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In compliance with the marching order of the President, the 2nd Infantry Division organized and deployed three vaccination teams from the 2nd Army Station Hospital in the municipality of Tanay, Rizal, and one at Cardona, also of the same province; two additional teams from the Southern Luzon Command were also deployed in the municipalities of Perez and Tayabas of Quezon Province.
