CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - The Army’s 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division commenced the 2ID Sports Clinic 2024 for military dependents here, Monday, June 17.

The three-week event will focus on various sports including Arnis, Swimming, Futsal, Indoor Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, and Golf for children ages six and above.

The opening ceremony began with a vibrant parade featuring the young participants, who marched enthusiastically around the camp, showcasing their excitement and team spirit.

Representing 2ID Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto Capulong, Assistant Division Commander Brig. Gen. Jose Augusto V Villareal highlighted the importance of such events in fostering physical fitness, camaraderie, and discipline among the youth.

He emphasized that the clinic aims to provide a structured environment where military dependents can develop athletic skills, learn new sports, and build lasting friendships.

Expert coaches and trainers have been brought in to lead the sessions, ensuring that each participant receives quality instruction and guidance.

The 2ID Sports Clinic 2024 is part of the Division’s broader effort to support the welfare of its military families, recognizing the unique challenges they face.

By providing these recreational opportunities, 2ID hopes to contribute to the well-being and resilience of its community.
