CAMP CAPINPIN, Tanay, Rizal — Four days after the arrest of Villarico, two more high-ranking NPA terrorist leaders fell in the hands of the authorities after law enforcement operations were jointly conducted by the Army's 2nd Infantry Division (2ID) and the Southern Police District (SPD) in the dawn of October 27 in Pililia St., Brgy. Valenzuela, Makati City.
Gavino Panganiban, a.k.a. Nori/ Momoy/ Benson/ Sonny/ Mando/ Teddy/ Rato was arrested by virtue of arrest warrants with Criminal Case # 2018-153-1 issued by Acting Judge Agripino of RTC Branch 65 in Infanta, Quezon and Criminal Case # 16193-G (IV-09B-INV-20K-00089) by Branch 172, 4th Judicial Region, RTC in Gumaca, Quezon for Murder and Attempted Murder, respectively.
Meanwhile, Marites David, a.k.a. Teacher Lally/ Nikki was arrested by virtue of the Criminal Case # 21-2862-SRCL issued by Judge Rosauro Angel David of RTC Branch 101 in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna for violating the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
Their arrest will eventually add to the deteriorating morale in the ranks of the communist terrorist group due to the successive arrest, capture, surrender, and death of their members and leadership these past months.
The two arrested NPA terrorists were placed under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group for documentation and proper legal processing.
