310 children graduate from GMAKF’s feeding program in Quezon
A total of 310 children successfully graduated from the six-month-long feeding program spearheaded by the GMA Kapuso Foundation in partnership with the municipal government of General Nakar and the 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division in General Nakar, Quezon on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
A total of 156 children from Minahan Elementary School, 76 students from Peta Elementary School, and 78 students from Batangan Elementary School benefitted from the Give-A-Gift: Feed a Child project which aimed to help curb malnutrition rates in Quezon.
The graduation ceremony was headed by GMAFK Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mrs. Rikki Escudero-Catibog, General Nakar Municipal Mayor Hon. Eliseo R. Ruzol, and 2ID Assistant Division Commander Brig. Gen. Jose Augusto V. Villareal.
The graduation ceremony also included a health talk from the Philippine Association of Private School Dentists, games, and gift-giving to the children.
“This program serves as a testament to the power of our collaboration and collective action in addressing societal challenges. Together with our partners from the security sector and key stakeholders, the Jungle Fighter Division remains committed to uplifting the lives of those in need and creating a positive and lasting impact in the communities of Southern Tagalog,” said 2ID Commander Maj.
