CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - Four members of militant groups have withdrawn their support to the CPP-NPA-NDF in Los Baños, Laguna on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
The Barangay Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict of Don Jose headed by Hon. Ireneo Aala Jr. and BTF-ELCAC of United Better Living headed by Hon.
Bernabe Baldomar, with assistance from the Troops of the 2nd Civili-Military Operations Battalion, Laguna PNP, and San Pedro PNP, facilitated the surrender of alias Isabel, alias Sophia, and alias Chacha who all members of Kadamay Laguna and Karapatan Laguna, as well as alias Artemis, president, and paralegal of Migrante International Jeddah Chapter. The said personalities signed their sworn statements condemning the Communist Terrorist Group and signified their cooperation to provide relevant information to the authorities.
"Our close coordination with the various Task Forces to End Local Communist Armed Conflict has been tremendously valuable in our peace and development efforts across the region. With this, we are encouraging the remaining supporters of the CPP/NPA/NDF, now is the perfect time to return to the government’s side. Let us work together, united to bring peace and progress to Southern Tagalog," 2ID Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement
