5 supporters cut ties with CPP-NPA-NDF in Quezon
CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - Five more supporters from the municipalities of Atimonan and Catanuan in Quezon have broken their ties with the CPP-NPA-NDF from Friday to Sunday, March 31 to April 2, 2023.
The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict of Atimonan and Catanauan, with assistance from the 85th Infantry "Sandiwa" Battalion, 2nd Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company, Atimonan PNP, and Catanauan PNP, facilitated the withdrawal of support to the CPP-NPA-NDF of one resident from Barangay Malusak in Atimonan and four residents from barangays Macpac and Cutcutan in Catanauan.
"This development is a result of the effectiveness of our joint efforts with the ELCAC Task Forces and other key stakeholders in helping our communities achieve lasting peace and socioeconomic growth. We will be continuously supporting all levels of government in building communist-resilient communities here in Southern Tagalog" 2nd Infantry "Jungle Fighter" Division Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement.
