7 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters in Quezon break ties with communist group
CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - Seven more supporters of the CPP-NPA-NDF have broken their ties with the communist group in General Luna, Quezon on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13, 2023.
The General Luna Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, with assistance from the 85th Infantry "Sandiwa" Battalion, General Luna PNP, Quezon PNP, facilitated the withdrawal of support and disaffiliation of seven CPP-NPA-NDF supporters from barangay Bacong Ilaya, The residents have expressed their support to the government by voluntarily signing sworn statements and condemning the Communist Terrorist Group.
"This influx of withdrawal of support from our communities is a result of our concerted efforts in promoting peace and development across Quezon Province. We will continue working together with the LGUs and our partner stakeholders to ensure we uplift our communities here to be resilient from the influence of the CPP-NPA-NDF," 2nd Infantry "Jungle Fighter" Division Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement.
