CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - A total of 755 members of various militant groups denounced the CPP-NPA-NDF and withdrew their membership in a disaffiliation ceremony held in Rodriguez, Rizal on Sunday, March 12, 2023.

In a ceremony held at Kasiglahan Village in Barangay San Jose, the Rodriguez Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict led by Hon. Mayor Ronnie S. Evangelista, and San Jose Barangay Task Force to End Local Commmunist Armed Conflict, headed by Hon. Barangay Chairman Glenn S. Evangelista, with assistance from the 80th Infantry Battalion, Rodriguez PNP, and Rizal PNP, facilitated the withdrawal of support of 466 members of the San Isidro Kasiglahan Kapatiran Damayan para sa Kabuhayan Katarungan at Kapayapaan (SIKKAD-K3) and Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap - Southern Tagalog (KADAMAY-ST) and also redirected the 289 members of the Unified Residents Organization, Kasiglahan Friendly Neighborhood Association, and United Muslim Community Association to support the government peace initiatives and help them be resilient from the Communist Terrorist Groups.

Aside from the disaffiliation ceremony which included the testimonies of former rebels, mass pledging of an oath of allegiance to the government, signing of peace covenant, and burning of CPP-NPA-NDF flags, the government also facilitated the creation of a People's Organization and oath-taking of selected officers.

"These milestone is a testament to the growing support of our kababayans to the peace initiatives of the government. We'll be taking this as an opportunity and an encouragement to do more and help our communities live a peaceful and progressive life and becoming resilient from the CPP-NPA-NDF," 2nd Infantry "Jungle Fighter" Division Commander Maj.
