“The growing number of our fellow countrymen responding to the call for genuine peace and development is a testament to the diminishing strength of the Communist Terrorist organization. With this, we are encouraging those who are still engaged in armed activities to abandon armed struggle and instead choose peace by taking advantage of the government grants and benefits so they can begin anew with their families,” 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement.
