CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - A former NPA member surrendered a hidden firearm to the government troops in Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Alias Justine, a former supply officer of KLG MAV's Platun Serna from the Southern Tagalog's Regional Party Committee's Sub-Regional Military Area 4D, surrendered to the government on December 28, 2020, at Sitio Nalwak, Brgy Paclolo in the said municipality. After years of continuous cooperation with the government, alias Justine was able to recover one 5.56 M16 A1 rifle, three magazines, and 106 rounds of 5.56mm live ammunition hidden at Sitio Taboy-taboy in Barangay Purnaga in 2020 by an NPA group fleeing from the government troops after an encounter against the government forces. The recovered war materiel was surrendered to the 203rd Infantry Brigade.

With this, we are encouraging the remaining supporters of the CPP/NPA/NDF, now is the perfect time to return to the government's side.
