CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - A New People's Army supply officer surrendered to the joint forces of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police in Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Troops belonging to the 2nd Infantry Division, 7th Infantry Division, Rizal PNP, Quezon PNP, and Bulacan PNP facilitated the surrender of alias Erika, the supply officer of Platun 2 YGM of KLG Narciso of the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee's Sub-Regional Military Area 4A at Sitio Macua in Barangay Kabayunan.
"More and more of our kababayans who were deceived by the CPP-NPA-NDF are now heeding our call for genuine peace and development and we will capitalize on this development as it further weakens the Communist Terrorist Groups. Thus, we are urging those who are still in arms to abandon their violent ideologies and avail the government grants and benefits put in place to help them begin their lives anew with their families," 2ID Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement.
