TF ELCACs' public support in Quezon continues after 1 Militia surrenders, 45 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters withdraw support
CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - The public's support for the Task Forces to End Local Communist Armed Conflict continues in Quezon following the surrender of one Milisyang Bayan member and the withdrawal of support of 45 CPP-NPA-NDF supporters in the municipalities of General Luna and Catanauanfrom Wednesday to Saturday, March 1 to 4, 2023.
The Municipal Task Forces to End Local Communist Armed Conflict of General Luna, and Catanauan, with assistance from the 85th Infantry Battalion, Quezon PNP, General Luna PNP, Catanauan PNP, and General Nakar PNP, facilitated the surrender of one Milisyang Bayan member from barangay Milagrosa and the withholding of support to the CPP-NPA-NDF of 22 residents of barangays of San Ignacio Ilaya, San Ignacio Ibaba, Sumilang, and Lavides in General Luna, and 23 residents of San Vicente Kanluran, Milagrosa, and Doongan Ilaya in Catanauan. All 45 personalities have signed sworn statements renouncing their support to the CPP-NPA-NDF, condemning the communist terrorist group, and pledging their allegiance to the government.

We are extremely grateful for the growing trust and support of our kababayans across the Quezon province and we are even more determined to help our communities become more resilient from the deceptive actions of the Communist Terrorist Group," 2nd Infantry "Jungle Fighter" Division Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement.
