UCCP pastor, KALASMINA member surrenders in Oriental Mindoro
CAMP CAPINPIN, Rizal - A pastor from the United Church of Christ of the Philippines who is also a member of Kaisahan ng mga Mindoreño Laban sa Dayuhan at Dambuhalang Pagmimina has withdrawn his support to the CPP-NPA-NDF in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Troops from the 2nd Civil-Military Operations Battalion, 76th Infantry Battalion, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, PNP, Oriental Mindoro jointly facilitated the withdrawal of support from the CPP-NPA-NDF of Pastor Joeffre G Landicho, a resident of Barangay Aurora, after becoming inactive since 2017.
"This development is the result of our continuous peace initiatives across Mindoro. Together with our counterparts in the PNP, the LGUs, and our key stakeholders, we will remain committed in pushing forth the government' peace and development efforts for our communities in for development steadfast in our peace and development efforts to our kababayans in Mindoro, 2nd Infantry "Jungle Fighter" Division Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong said in a statement.
